Replacement Necessity
- Filtering Impurities: Natural gas may contain impurities such as water, oil, rust, and particles. Filter elements use coalescing filtration technology to separate these impurities and prevent contamination of the gas system.
- Safety Risks: Failure to replace filter elements for extended periods can lead to incomplete combustion, equipment blockage, and even gas leaks.
- Performance Guarantee: Filter blockage increases differential pressure, reduces filtration efficiency, and affects gas flow stability and combustion performance.
Replacement Cycle Reference
The replacement cycle should be determined based on the following factors:
Usage Scenario:
- City gas: Recommended replacement every 6 months or 10,000 kilometers.
- Environments with high levels of impurities, such as oilfield/coalbed methane: Replacement should be reduced to 3 months or more frequently.
- Mileage: Generally, replacement is recommended every 10,000-30,000 kilometers (longer if the gas source is clean).
- Device Notice: When the filter differential pressure gauge indicator enters the red zone (usually exceeding 0.68 kgf/cm²), the filter should be replaced immediately.
Maintenance Precautions
- Safety Procedure: Before replacement, close the valve and release the line pressure to avoid danger from high-pressure gas.
- Regular Draining: Drain any accumulated liquid at the bottom of the filter every 3,000 kilometers or as needed.
- Accessory Selection: Prefer reliable brand filter elements; inferior products may accelerate system contamination.
