Features

The long-term operating temperature of conventional glass fiber filter elements is ≤250°C, and they can withstand high temperatures above 300°C in the short term (such as in metal heat treatment, welding smoke, etc.). This is better than PP/PET filter materials (80°C~120°C), close to metal filters but with lower cost.
It has better tensile strength than synthetic fibers and is resistant to airflow impact, but it is relatively brittle and easily breaks when bent, so it needs to be installed with caution. It has good dimensional stability at high temperatures (heat shrinkage rate <0.5%).
It has excellent oleophobicity and hydrophobicity (contact angle > 120°) and can achieve high recovery rates (> 85%) when used with a pulse backflush system. However, its dust holding capacity is relatively low and requires pre-filtration protection.
Due to the uniform fiber spacing, the glass fiber filter element has low flow resistance and can reduce the pressure loss of the filtration system.
The outer surface of the glass fiber filter element is treated with colloidal silicon, which has good sealing performance, can be used directly and is easy to install.
